My wife and I needed to replace our 30 y/o furnace in our house at South Lake Tahoe. We reached out to several hvac companies in the area with mixed results. Some responded that it would be several weeks to a month before they could help us. One seemed really expensive when you google the average cost of a system based on square footage. Rudy’s Plumbing, Heating & Fireplaces came out, gave us a reasonable bid and said they could start work in a week. We decided to accept their bid and were pleased with their work in a timely manner. In 3 days they removed all old duct piping from under our house and replace it with new insulated ducting, a new forced air furnace with Wi-Fi controls allowing us to adjust the temp from anyplace with Wi-Fi capabilities. I give them an A++.
Rudy's sent two technicians out today for a propane heater tune up. They did a great job and fixed two small problems with the unit while they were there. I highly recommend their service!

As with any service industry, Rudy's is always busy. But if they say they will be there, they will. They have helped me with many plumbing and gas fire place issues. I give them 5 stars because they deserve them!

Rudy’s sends friendly, efficient people who do their jobs well. They may take a while to get you on the schedule right now, but only because they’re super busy. I’ve been very happy with the two things they’ve done at my house.

My gas fireplace stopped working so we called Rudy’s for help. Everyone was very kind, helpful, and professional at every interaction. They were able to schedule a technician to come out within 48 hours. Daniel arrived on time and worked diligently to diagnose the problem and double check everything to make sure no issues were missed. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to talk through the issue and how he fixed it with us. He also cleaned the fireplace and made it look brand new. I have a condo in upper Kingsbury with a malfunctioning Fireplace insert. No one seemed interested in helping until I called Rudy's shop - where I was well treated by caring and capable people. They are fantastic !! even though they only service in California, I received professional advise, support and the parts needed to get my fireplace incert up and running like new. I heard there is a new owner and they are doing a “Furnace Service” special so I called them to schedule. Scheduling was easy. The tech showed up as scheduled. Travis was professional, friendly and very thorough. I appreciate learning and Travis was helpful & knowledgeable to show me some basics to keep an eye on and explained to me why regular service was so important. My furnace was also acting a little funny before he came & since the service it’s working like new again! (Dirty fuel sensor). I highly recommend Rudy’s and will be using this service as needed in the future. Great value and service!
